IMPORTANT: You will need to create an account first. After your account is created, you will be able to make a team fundraising page. With your account, you will be able to edit your fundraiser, add teammates, and much more!

How to Set Up a Team Fundraising Page – Instructions

Go to the Freedom Walk page and follow the instructions below:

Step 1 – Click on the red “Fundraise as a Team” button.

Step 2 – Click on the “Create Your Team Fundraising Page” button/link, which will take you to the login screen. Note:  If you don’t have an account, you can use the form to create one. If you already have an account, find the “Sign in” link at the bottom of the form/page to log in with your username and password.

Step 3 – Once you are logged in, click on the “Causes” link on the left side of your browser window. This will load a page with two button options (Donate Now and Create a Team). Click on the “Create a Team” button.

Step 4 – In the Getting Started section, click the green “Continue” button.

Step 5 – Add a fundraising goal (by default it shows $250 but you can change it to any amount you would like. Keep the amount achievable.

Step 6 – Create a “Team Name” (this will appear on the fundraising page. You can also add a short mission statement, tagline, or motto for your team. We have prefilled it with a quote from the abolitionist William Wilberforce, but you can change it as needed.

Step 7 – Add a detailed description of your team. If you are organizing a team based on a business or organization, you can also use this space to talk about your support for the Freedom Walk and the work being done in the community.

Step 8 – Customize the look and feel of your fundraising page. You can pick a color and add a photo (please make sure that your photo is 500 kb or smaller in size. You will need a tool such as Photoshop or similar software to resize your image. If the image uploaded appears with a Red X, it means it is too large, and the system will not allow you to save the page.

Step 9 – Finish by saving your work and sharing it on social media. We recommend that every couple of weeks between now and the date of the Freedom Walk, you remind your friends, family, and coworkers about your fundraiser via social media. Reminders on social media to your friend group are a great way to keep your fundraiser in the forefront of their minds to take action.

All Freedom Walk participants are given the opportunity to fundraise. While fundraising is not required for participants, it’s the best way to support the work and mission of what we do. We’ll give you everything you need. Once you register, you will receive an email with detailed information on how to set up your fundraising page.
